- Scanned vehicle for codes and found: P0514 – Battery temp sensor performance U0151 – Lost communication with occupant restraint controller. Inspected P0514 code, Tested signal voltage found 3.35 volts Key Of Engine Off ( spec is 3.1-3.3 with temp between 50-60 ) Checked for 5V reference and found present. Pcm signal is .007 (Spec is .10 or less). Sensor and circuit are working as they should at this time. Inspected batteries and found battery test says recharge, Also found battery wires have heavy corrosion. Need to start with removing all wires and cleaning thoroughly then re testing. Customer requested replace batteries as they are old. After repairs road tested and light did not return. Advise customer if light comes back further inspection will be required.
- Remove terminals and wires clean and re install.
